There is One very important thing to know when you want to rekey your locks on your own.So make sure you read really carefully. When you take the lock apart there are bottom pins and top pins and the springs are pushing the top pins to the bottom pins. so when you insert your key the lock can turn. When you want to use a new key this are the steps.

Steps
1) Remove the lock from the door
2) Remove the Screw from the back of the lock so you can get to the cylinder
3) Insert the tube so the top pins and springs don't fall out, if they do insert them again with tweezers
4) Take the new key and insert it into the cylinder
5) Start inserting new pins, but make sure there not down or up they need to be flat. so the lock can turn when you insert the key. it should look just like the image below
